How to Remove Stems from Curly Kale:
- Fold kale leaves in half, holding them down to expose the stem
- Run knife down the stem where it meets to leaves
Removing Stem from Tuscan Kale:
Tuscan kale leaves are flatter and more delicate.
- Place leaf flat, face up on the cutting board
- Run knife along one side of the stem where it meets the leaf
- Repeat the same motion on the other side of the stem so that it breaks free from the center of the leaf.
