Southern Lady Peas

What says down home more than Southern Lady Peas? Make these with dinner tonight, you won’t be sorry!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 slice bacon
  • 2 cups fresh lady peas
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Pour your peas into a saucepan and cover with water.

Add onion and bacon, and bring water to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste and let boil until peas are cooked and flavors are blended about 15-20 minutes.

Pro Tip: Have lots of peas? Blanch them and freeze them to use at any time.
