Keep Your Strawberries Fresher Longer

Berries gone bad?! Not for long!

Try this trick to keep your strawberries fresher longer:

  1. The ratio for the magical berry preserving mix is 1 cup of vinegar to 3 cups of water. So for one pound of berries, you’ll want about 8 cups of liquid (2 cups vinegar, 6 cups water.)
  2. Mix up the solution and pour it into a bowl or glass container. Add the berries and let them soak for about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Pour berries into a colander and let most of the moisture drip dry. Lay berries on a paper towel and let them dry completely.
  4. Line the container you plan to use for storage with a paper towel and place the strawberries inside.

This should keep your berries fresh for at least 2 weeks in the fridge. Unless of course they get scarfed up before the 😉
