Properly prepare your beans for cooking in just three simple steps!
1. Rinse
2. Blanch
- Bring water to a boil. Place beans in a basket or strainer and submerge in boiling water.
- Cover pot and boil for 2-4 minutes. Remove and quickly transfer beans to a large bowl of ice water.
- Once chilled, remove and pat dry.
3. Store/Freeze
- Store beans in fridge if you plan to use within a couple of days
- To freeze your beans, arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet and place in freezer.
- Transfer fully frozen beans to plastic bags and store in freezer.
